Experienced Maths specialist currently studying for a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Dundee.
I have a long-standing passion for Applied Mathematics and problem-solving which has continued through my professional career in mathematical modelling. I completed my Master of Mathematics at the University of Dundee achieving an upper second-class degree. Currently, I am completing a PhD in Applied Mathematics at Dundee, where I have taught undergraduate students from first to final year. I also support students at the Mathematics Society study sessions, which has further developed my passion for tutoring.
My teaching style is tailored to each student’s strengths. However, my core teaching principle is to ensure that the mathematics taught is always put into context for students so they can understand its relevance in the real world. My lessons are example driven, interactive, and designed to keep students actively engaged. Fundamentally, I believe learning requires patience and a step-by-step approach to establish student confidence. My goal is to ensure students develop confidence, strong problem solving skills, and achieve their full potential.
