English Language and Literature tutor across GCSE, A-level and IB, offering inclusive and exam-focused support.
Over the past seven years, I have taught English Language and Literature across a variety of curricula, age groups and learning contexts. My teaching experience includes KS3, GCSE, A-level, and the full suite of International Baccalaureate programmes (MYP and DP). I have extensive experience preparing students for both coursework and examinations, as well as supporting learners who are developing foundational literacy skills or studying English as an additional language. In addition to classroom teaching, I have worked for over five years as a private tutor, offering sessions that range from targeted exam preparation to creative writing. My international experience (living in China, Korea and Italy) has enabled me to develop a highly inclusive approach that supports learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
My teaching philosophy is shaped by the belief that every student deserves to feel valued, supported and empowered in their learning. I tailor my instruction to each learner’s unique needs, strengths and goals, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed both academically and personally.
Student engagement lies at the heart of my practice. I work to spark interest by connecting lessons to students’ lives and by using texts and tasks that invite curiosity, critical thinking and creativity. My aim is always to build each student’s confidence, to help them develop their voice, and to guide them towards achieving – and surpassing – their academic goals.
